Stephanie Appelt
Stephanie Appelt is an Edmonton born and raised dancer who trained at Edmonton Dance Factory. She has been studying many different styles of dance since the age of 3 including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, contemporary, and hip hop. This broad range of dance training has lead Stephanie to be involved in many local competitions and talent shows, and she has travelled numerous times to participate in Dance Power Western Canadian Finals in Banff and Kelowna. She has also travelled to participate in conventions such as NYCDA in Los Angeles and Coastal Dance Rage in Vancouver and Calgary. Stephanie has successfully completed the Al Gilbert tap syllabus including Grade 9, in which she achieved highest honours. She has also successfully completed numerous RAD Ballet examinations, with the most recent being Advanced 2 in February 2010. With these achievements, she now shares her love of dance with students at two Edmonton dance studios. She is currently attending her fourth year at the University of Alberta towards a combined BSc Human Ecology/BEd Secondary in hopes of becoming a high school foods teacher. She is excited to be involved with MOD for its second year of success.
