Roxy Pinson
Roxanne Pinson began her dance training at Variations Academy of Dance and for the vast majority at Shelleys Dance Company. Roxanne has trained in the following disciplines: tap, jazz, ballet, modern, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, and hip hop. Although she loves all disciplines her passion has always been in contemporary and lyrical. Roxanne has been fortunate enough to attend several conferences such as Coastal dance rage and learn choreography from some of the famous choreographers like Stacey Tookey (SYTYCD), Mia Michael`s and Blake McGrath to name a few. With Shelley`s she had the opportunity to travel across Alberta to compete as well as Vegas and LA. She was also the choreographer for her high school dance team. Last year she danced and choreographers with MOD. This year she plans to dance for MOD and try out for the Edmonton Eskimos dance team. She is currently in the biological science major honours and business minor program at the University of Alberta. She will be applying to medical school in the near future and wished to study medicine in the fields of Pediatrics or Gynecology. On top of teaching and dancing with MOD she is also involved as an executive position and volunteer in several non-profit associations on the U of A campus. This includes: Canadian Blood Services, Big Brother Big Sister, U of A Philippines Students Association and MOD fundraising chair. In addition she volunteers at the Fort medical clinic bi-weekly where she shadows a family Doctor. She plans to have a fun and entertaining second year with MOD.
