Lauren Hall
Lauren Hall has been dancing at Alive Danceworks in Calgary for 10 years. Starting at the age of 7, she started with ballet in a recreational program. Then, at the age of 9, Lauren moved into the professional division at Alive Danceworks called the performance troupe. This past year, Lauren was in the senior level troupe, training in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and hip hop. She has played many roles in the Alive Danceworks productions, such as Fritz in the Nutcracker, the lead poppy in The Wizard of Oz, as well as most recently, the lead role as Cinderella in Cinderella. Within this preforming troupe, she has preformed on the stage in Disneyland, has also been given various awards such as most outstanding solo and a knock your socks off award, and danced on a Caribbean cruise ship. She was also awarded a scholarship at a recent competition to the Harbour Dance Studio in Vancouver for this past summer, where she trained and broadened her dance knowledge. She has competed in many different styles in various competitions and festivals, as well as trained at the Groove Street Production conventions annually. This past summer Lauren has trained at Broadway Dance Centre in New York as well as attended the Tremaine dance convention. Currently Lauren is starting her first year in Physiology and Developmental biology. Lauren is extremely excited for her first year, to further her training and learn in MOD!
